This is the OVW Report for Wednesday, April 4, 2018. This episode can be seen on WBNA-21 in the Louisville area on Saturday at 11AM and 9PM, and online at www.ovwrestling.com/ovw-media.html. In this episode, Josh Ashcraft has some special announcements regarding what's ahead in OVW, DL3 & Cardinal continue to have issues, Zo faces Adam Revolver for the final spot in this Saturday's Fatal 4 Way TLC Match for the Heavyweight Title, plus more!

Without further ado:

Here we go...

Pre-Show Dark Matches:

Flex Murphy (w/"Shotgun" Tony Gunn) defeats William Lutz. They exchange armbars, then Lutz with an arm drag. He charges Flex in the corner, but Flex moves and Lutz hits the corner. Flex hits him and hits a fallaway slam. He splashes him in the corner, then throws him in the opposite corner. He runs into a boot. Lutz back elbows him, then hits a reverse cross body out of the corner. He sets him up for the moonsault, but Gunn gets on the apron to cause a distraction. Flex knocks Lutz down across the top turnbuckle, and locks in the sharpshooter for the tapout.

Dapper Dan defeats Andrew Thomas. Dan controls the entire match. He stomps a mudhole in him in the corner, and works him over. He finishes him off with a Death Valley Driver for the 3.

Cali defeats OVW Women's Champion Jaylee (w/DL3). A quick start, but Cali gains the upperhand. She clotheslines Jaylee, hits an x-factor, and locks in a cross armbreaker, but DL3 distracts the ref. Cali slaps DL3, but gets kneed in the back from behind. Jaylee works her over, but Cali comes back with a rollup holding the ropes for the 3.

That concludes tonight's pre-show dark matches. I always recommend watching the episode first on TV or online before reading the rest of the report. Again, you can check it out on WBNA-21 in the Louisville area Saturdays at 11AM and 9PM (check local listings) and on OVW's official website Mondays at www.ovwrestling.com/ovw-media.html.

Mike Lacett & Gilbert Corsey are on commentary, and Brittany is the ring announcer.

"The River City Dragon" Logan James, Shiloh Jonze, & Kevin Giza defeat "The Winter Swoldier" Adam Slade, Billy O, & Aloicious Hamilton. A lot of back-and-forth early. Alo has control hitting dropkicks to Shiloh & Giza, then hitting Giza with a big splash. Shiloh takes out Alo's knee from behind and he gets worked over. Shiloh hits him with a hard chop. Alo hits LJ with a spinebuster, then tags Billy. Billy goes to town on all 3, then things break loose. All 6 men end up in the ring, but after Billy hits his finisher on Giza, the legal man LJ hits a knee to the back of Billy's head off the top rope for the 3.

"The Boy Wonder" Sam Thompson defeats DL3 (w/Jaylee & "The Bro Godz": Dustin Jackson & Colton Cage). A back and forth match. Sam is on a roll to start, diving out onto the Bros. DL3 catches him as he comes back in with a kick to the side. Sam fires back again, but DL3 catches him with a dropkick as he comes off the top rope. He is in control until Cardinal comes out and DL3 gets distracted. Sam fires back, and has the pin as the Bros & Jaylee try to interfere. Cardinal pulls all of them off, and throws Jaylee onto the Bros. Back inside, Sam catches DL3 with a huge jumping DDT for the 3.

Gilbert Corsey is in the ring and brings out Josh Ashcraft. He says he tracked down Dean Hill and found out that Josh indeed owns 1% , but Dean is still MAJORITY owner. Josh says that's fine, but he is still in control in his absence. He will unveil the new #1 contender for Run for the Ropes next week, team captains for the 10-man tag, and the new Anarchy Championship.
Tony Gunn comes out with Flex Murphy. He tells Josh that no one wants to see hardcore matches, they want to see real wrestling. He says instead of Anarchy, the new championship should be "TWC" for True Wrestling Championship. Josh says he's not going to do that, because he enjoys seeing people hit each other with things.
Dapper Dan comes out and says Tony's scared, because if there are no rules, he can't break them. Josh warns them not to touch each other, but they end up brawling and Dan hits Flex with a Death Valley Driver. Josh says he warned him, and he ejects him from the building.

"The Real Deal" Randall Floyd defeats Chace Destiny (w/Amon, Houdini, & Nigel). Randall has the upperhand to start, but interference from Amon & the Void allow Chace to take control. Chace knees Floyd in the gut off the ropes, and throws him to the outside. Back inside, he locks in a sleeper and kicks him in the face. Floyd starts firing back and suplexes him. Floyd hits a back body drop, then a big vertical suplex. He knocks Houdini & Nigel off the apron, then stares at Amon. Chace tries to hit him from behind, but gets a cutter from Randall for the 3.
Houdini & Nigel try to attack after the match, but Randall throws them both out. He has a staredown with Amon, and then they began to exchange blows. Randall knocks Amon out of the ring, and Amon & the Void retreat.

OVW HEAVYWEIGHT TITLE QUALIFYING MATCH: Big Zo defeats Adam Revolver (w/Shannon the Dude). Before the match begins, Shannon calls out WDRB's Mike Marshall and his boss, saying to bring his old fat self to OVW next week. Zo is in control early and goes for the Zo bomb, but STD pulls Adam out. Zo has control again, but as he pulls Adam back in the ring, Adam pulls his head down across the top rope and takes out the knee. He works over the knee, as Zo tries to shove him off. Adam locks in the Figure Four, but Zo flips it over. Zo hits Adam into the corner, then throws him across to the other corner. He hits the cartwheel butt bump and back elbows. He slams Adam, but STD is back on the apron. Adam hits Zo from behind with the Radio Title, but Zo kicks out at 2. Adam locks in the sleeper, but Zo slams him off and hits the Zo bomb for the 3.
After the match, Michael Hayes hops out and attacks Zo from behind. He gets a steel chair and blasts Zo in the back.
Amon runs out with two handfuls of chairs, but goes after Zo, trying to pedigree him.
Randall Floyd runs out and all 4 men battle. Randall takes Hayes down and buries him under a pile of chairs. He goes up top, but Hayes rolls out of the ring and retreats as Amon & Zo battle with chairs on the outside.

This ended the TV taping.

Post-Show Dark Matches:

"The Vet" Apollo defeats "Livewire" KTD. Apollo attacks KTD from behind and works him over. He slaps KTD in the face and splashes him in the corner. He tries again, but KTD moves and fires away. Apollo grabs his fanny pack and as KTD comes back at him in the corner, Apollo hits him under the chin where the ref doesn't see it. He gets the 3 and the win.

"The Bro Godz": Colton Cage & Dustin Jackson defeat "The Hernandez Brothers": Drew & Christian Hernandez. The Hernandez Bros with the control early, as Drew takes Colton down with suplexes, until Dustin distracts him. Colton hits him with a big boot. He spells out "BRO" in the corner and hits a side slam as Dustin splashes him off the top. Dustin hits a beautiful dropkick and tags Colton. He hits a back elbow in the corner, but misses a second. Colton with a roundhouse kick. They call for "Bro 69" and connect for 2. Dustin locks in a sleeper. Drew fights out and they double clothesline each other off the ropes. Both make tags, and Christian comes in hitting suplexes on both of them. They hit a 3D on Colton, but Dustin breaks the count. Dustin fights with Christian to the outside and throws him into the ringpost. Colton takes Drew down inside, and Dustin tags in and hits a big splash off the top rope for the 3.
