OVW TV #965: "Hayes Gets Flushed"

This is the OVW Report for Wednesday, February 14, 2018. This episode can be seen on WBNA-21 in the Louisville area on Saturday at 11AM and 9PM, and online at www.ovwrestling.com/ovw-media.html. In this episode, Michael Hayes defends the OVW Heavyweight Title against Randy Royal, Jaylee defends the OVW Women's Title against Torey Payne, LJ defends the OVW TV Title against Kevin Giza, plus more!

Here we go...

Pre-Show Dark Matches:

"The Bro Godz": Dustin Jackson & Colton Cage (w/DL3 & Jaylee) defeat "The Bro God Body Doubles". Dustin & Colton have a push-up contest and flex-off with their doubles before telling them that they are done with them and want their gear back.

The doubles throw their vests at them, but the Bros quickly throw one out of the ring, and hit the snapshot on the other for the 3.

"The Boy Wonder" Sam Thompson attacks Dr. Ted McNaler, pantsing him and pushing him down as he gives his valentine, Brittany, a flower and a card. He reads him a poem "Roses are red, violets are blue, your jokes suck, and so do you!" He says anytime, anywhere, 1-on-1 and throws a twizzler at him.

Chace Destiny defeats Aloicious Hamilton. An overall quick match. It starts out back and forth, but Houdini appears at ringside, distracting Alo, and it allows Chace to roll him up from behind for the quick 3.

OVW HEAVYWEIGHT TITLE: "The Double R Superstar" Randy Royal (w/"Bad Girl" Jessie Belle) defeats Michael Hayes (c). They lock up and Hayes knocks Royal to the outside. They exchange blows, and Royal pulls the mat up to expose the concrete floor. Hayes hits him and tries to piledrive Randy on the floor, but he rams Hayes into the apron. He hits his head off the announce desk, and then throws a garbage can at his head. Back inside, he hits a neckbreaker for 2. He hits a DDT in the ropes, but Hayes comes back and delivers the facebuster off the knee. Hayes pounds on Royal in the corner. Royal comes back and goes for Crown Royal, but Hayes blocks it and slams him for a few 2-counts. Hayes hits a suplex. He rolls out and grabs a chair. Jessie gets in and takes it away. Royal rolls him up from behind for 2. Hayes comes back and takes Royal down for 2. He locks in the mandible claw, and Randy gets up and through the ropes to break the hold. While the ref checks on Randy, Jessie gets in and yells "Happy Valentine's Day!" as she kicks Hayes below the belt. Randy gets back in and hits the Royal Flush for the 3!

We have a NEW OVW HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPION!

OVW TELEVISION TITLE: "The River City Dragon" Logan James (c) defeats Kevin Giza. They lock up and exchange holds. LJ with a dropkick, Giza back with a hurricanrana and 619. They go back and forth missing moves and we have a stalemate. Giza knocks LJ to the outside and dives out on him. He leaps at LJ against the barricade, but LJ catches him and hits a t-bone suplex on the floor. LJ goes up and Giza hits him from behind on the apron. LJ knocks him off, runs to the opposite corner on the apron, and hits a moonsault! Back inside, LJ is in control. He misses a superkick, and Giza powerbombs him. He gets a 2. He misses a curb stomp, and LJ rolls him up for 2. Giza takes LJ down and goes up for the 450. Randall Floyd runs out and shakes the ropes, knocking Giza down. LJ gets up and hits the frog splash for the 3.

After the match, Randall says he is going to do everything he can to make sure that LJ is still champion March 3rd. Once he is in that cage, he is going to take LJ down and the belt will come back to its rightful owner.

OVW WOMEN'S TITLE: Jaylee (c) vs. Torey Payne ends in a double countout. A quick start for Torey, until she is tripped up by DL3 & the Bro Godz. The ref throws them out. Torey takes Jaylee down with a twisting neckbreaker for 2. She goes up top, but Jaylee rolls out and goes for her title. Torey grabs her and throws her back toward the ring. Jaylee takes off again and Torey chases after her to the back.

"The Real Deal" Randall Floyd defeats "The Winter Swoldier" Adam Slade. Floyd with the early control, but Slade comes back with some inverted hip tosses and a double underhook suplex. Floyd catches Slade with a release German suplex. Floyd slams him for 2. He locks in a headlock, but Slade works up and uppercuts Floyd in the corner. He hits a superkick that knocks Floyd out of the ring. Slade goes to dive out, but catches an uppercut from Floyd on the outside. Floyd gets in and hits the Deal Breaker, followed by the modified Boston crab, and Slade passes out.

Floyd keeps it locked in after the match until Kevin Giza runs out and Floyd runs off.

Logan James comes out and rolls Floyd back in. Giza & LJ throw him off the ropes, but Floyd holds the ropes and rolls out and takes off.

ANARCHY TITLE TRIPLE THREAT QUALIFIER: DL3 defeats Billy O & Amon. Chains, garbage cans, aluminum trays, and wet floor signs are all used.

DL3 & Billy even team up for a moment to try and take down the demon. The Bro Godz run out to attack Billy and hit the snapshot on him.

Cardinal runs out and goes after the Bros, fighting with them to the back. The Void runs out and attacks Billy as he gets back up, and then Aloicious Hamilton runs out.

Alo fights with the Void & Amon to the back. Michael Hayes then comes out and hits Billy with his slam and goes out for a mic. DL3 sneaks back in and gets the 3 on Billy, then rolls out and hides under the ring.

After the match, Hayes says this is crap. He says Dean Hill is a joke, Randy Royal is over the hill. He is going to sue Dean Hill and take over this company. He wants a rematch for the title right now! Dean comes out and says he has been dealing with this for months, Hayes trying to burn the American flag, Hayes causing chaos. He tells Hayes he's done with this. He's fired!

This ended the TV taping.

Post-Show Dark Matches:

Big Zo & "Livewire" KTD defeat Nigel Winters & "The Vet" Apollo "Showtime" Garvin. Nigel locks in a headlock and says he is smarter than Zo. Zo knocks him down and throws him into the corner for a Zo train. KTD tags in and they hit a double suplex. They control for a bit until Apollo kicks KTD in the back off the ropes. Nigel takes control with an armbar and Apollo tags in. Apollo works over the arm and Nigel wants back in. KTD rolls him up for 2. Apollo gets back in and takes KTD down and mocks Zo. Nigel wants back in again, and KTD rolls him up in a small package for 2. Apollo again tags in and works over KTD. Nigel wants in one more time. He throws KTD off the ropes and goes for a dropkick, but KTD holds onto the ropes. He tags in Zo, but Nigel goes to tag Apollo, and Apollo jumps off the apron and leaves him behind. Nigel turns into a big slam from Zo. Zo then launches KTD off the top rope for a splash onto Nigel for the 3.
