OVW TV #917: "Bad Boys: Whatcha Gonna Do?"

This is the OVW Report for Wednesday, March 15, 2017. This episode can be seen on WBNA-21 in the Louisville area on Saturday at 11AM and 10PM, and online on Monday at www.ovwrestling.com/tv. In this episode, the Bad Boys Club face Big Zo & Rev. Stuart Miles, the return of a former superstar, Rebel is back in women's action, plus more!

Without further ado:

Here we go...

Pre-Show Dark Matches:

LJ defeats Apollo. A quick match. LJ knocks Apollo off the top rope and then delivers a flying elbow drop for the 3.

OVW Southern Tag Team Champions Billy O & Kevin Giza defeat Adam Slade & David Lee Lorenze IIIDavid & Slade actually have the upperhand on Giza, but David argues with Slade about going "off-script". Giza gets the hot tag while they argue, and Billy O comes in and shoves Slade into David off the apron and rolls Slade up for the 3.
After the match, David argues with Slade some more and delivers the Final Cut to him.

Ca$h Flo defeats Houdini. Poor Houdini gets chopped in half by Ca$h and is put away with the spinning faceplant for the 3.

That concludes tonight's pre-show dark matches. I always recommend watching the episode first on TV or online before reading the rest of the report. Again, you can check it out on WBNA ion-21 in the Louisville area Saturdays at 11AM and 10PM (check local listings) and on OVW's official website Mondays at www.ovwrestling.com/tv.

Gilbert Corsey & Ron Hed are on commentary, and Ron is the ring announcer.

Justin Smooth defeats Dapper Dan by DQ. A good back and forth match. Smooth catches Dan with the running big boot for 2. He goes for Street Justice, but Dan slips out and around Smooth. SMooth reverses around Dan, but Dan lifts his leg up and low blows Smooth for the DQ.
After the match, Dan grabs "Mandy" (his kendo stick). He goes back in to hit Smooth, but LJ comes out and delivers some shots to Dan. He goes up top, but is caught on the shoulders of Dan for a Death Valley Driver. Dan goes after him with Mandy, but Smooth gets back up and tries to deliver Street Justice again. Dan slides off and escapes from the ring.

OVW Women's Champion Rebel defeats Hanna. Hanna has the upperhand early, but Rebel storms back and hits a twisting neckbreaker for the 3.
After the match, she is interviewed by Gilbert Corsey. Gilbert says she has been out of action after an injury suffered at the hands of Madi Maxx, who she will face next week with the title on the line. Rebel says she tried to mess up her face, but she will bring her southern sass, country class, and will be kicking Madi's @$$!

David Lee Lorenze III is interviewed at ringside. Gilbert Corsey asks him about the grandest prize comment made last week. David says he will be in a 4-corners tag team match at SNS. He will have the perfect production assistant as his partner. He can't say who that is yet as he's still casting. The interview is cut short by Rocco Bellagio & Big Jon. Jon is beating Rocco up at ringside. Jon hits him with a cookie sheet, a steel rod, and a chair. He throws him in the ring and goes for a chokeslam, but the refs distract him trying to get him to stop. Rocco grabs his title and clocks Jon as he turns around. Rocco says he doesn't care about his longest reign streak, he hates Jon, and wants to put him away at SNS.

"The Man of Tomorrow" Daniel Eads defeats Colton Cage. Easily the best match of the night. Eads hits his patented elbow drop by jumping in over the top rope, and follows that up with his flip in over the top rope splashing Cage's chest. He can't put Cage away, and Cage comes back with a side effect. Cage hits a spinning kick and goes for the scissor kick, but Eads moves and nails Cage with the superman punch. He then delivers the Weight of the World for the 3.
After the match, Ron Hed interviews Eads and asks him about Josh Ashcraft who he was aligned with when we last saw him. Eads says he doesn't listen to Ashcraft or anyone. He only listens to the demons inside and they are telling him exactly what to do next.

"The Bad Boys Club""Bad Boy" Shane Andrews & "The Double R Superstar" Randy Royal (w/Jessie Belle) defeat Big Zo & OVW Television Champion "The Pastor of Disaster" Rev. Stuart Miles. Stu gets a beating for the majority of the match, until getting the hot tag to Zo. Zo comes in with clotheslines, slams, and Zo trains to both Shane & Royal. He goes up for the Zo bomb on Shane, but Jessie Belle distracts the ref and Ca$h Flo comes out with a chair. Ca$h hits Zo with the chair and Shane tries to pin Zo, but Zo is out at 2! Ca$h gets on the apron and Jessie distracts the ref again. Zo hits Ca$h off the apron, but turns into a samoan drop from Royal, and Shane follows that up with the frog splash for the 3.
After the match, Ca$h and the Bad Boys continue to beat down Zo. Stu tries to help, but is hit down as well. Billy O & Kevin Giza run out and go after Ca$h and the Bad Boys, clotheslining Ca$h out of the ring. Billy O gets knocked out of the ring by the Bad Boys, and Giza gets caught with a samoan drop from Royal.
Shane hits the frog splash and the Bad Boys hold up the tag titles that they have a chance to win on Saturday in E-Town.

This ended the TV taping.

Post-Show Dark Matches:

Cardinal defeats "Shotgun" Tony Gunn. Cardinal comes out and says he is a bad guy, and you should boo him and hate him. He says he is tired of getting sent jobbers and wants some real competition. He gets Gunn, but before they lock up, "Dancin" Deonta Davis comes out and dances in the ring. Gunn and Cardinal both hit him and knock him out of the ring. They have a good technical back and forth matchup, but Cardinal rolls out of the ring as the ref starts a 10 count. Cardinals says Gunn is the best wrestler here, he'll admit that. He tells Gunn that they should just go to the back and not let all the people laugh at them for beating each other up, because they are both bad guys. They start walking to the back, and Cardinal runs back into the ring before the 10 count to win by countout. He tells Gunn that Gunn is the best wrestler, but he is the smartest.
Gunn is upset and grabs Lukas Gibson Jacobs, who was sitting at ringside and throws him in the ring. He beats him up and hits the reverse DDT.

As always, thanks for reading!
