OVW TV #856: "Oops, Wrong Title"

This is the OVW Report for Wednesday, January 13, 2016. This episode can be seen on WBNA-21 in the Louisville area on Saturday at 11AM and 10PM, and online on Monday at www.ovwrestling.com/tv. In this episode, Josh Ashcraft wants the TV Title back from Big Jon, a mixed tag match, Randy Royal faces OVW Heavyweight Champion Ryan Howe, plus more!

Without further ado:

Here we go...

Pre-Show Dark Matches:

Dapper Dan Van Zandt (w/the Ringmaster) defeats Rook after hitting a death valley driver.

"The Real Deal" Trevor Steele defeats Wes Connors in a squash after hitting a huge side slam.

Ted "Manbeast" McNaler defeats The Ringmaster by DQ after Dapper Dan Van Zandt runs out and hits Ted with a chair. The Tag Buddies run out and run the Van Zandt Circus off.

That concludes tonight's pre-show dark matches. I always recommend watching the episode first on TV or online before reading the rest of the report. Again, you can check it out on WBNA ion-21 in the Louisville area Saturdays at 11AM and 10PM (check local listings) and on OVW's official website Mondays at www.ovwrestling.com/tv.

Shannon the Dude & Ron Hed are on commentary, and Ron is also the ring announcer.

Tyler Matrix defeats "The Technical Titan" Eric Locker. Locker hit the German suplex on Matrix and thought he won, but the ref noticed Matrix's foot on the ropes. Locker tried for another German, but Matrix rolled through and rolled him up for the 3.

"The Party Starter" Bud Dwight & Maria James defeat OVW Women's Champion "Bad Girl" Jessie Belle & "Bad Boy" Shane Andrews in a mixed tag match after Maria hit Jessie with a reverse DDT for the 3.

"The Chosen One" Mitch Huff defeats Ravishing Ronny after hitting the super kick.

Josh Ashcraft comes out with Casey Reeves who has a baseball bat. Josh is upset about Big Jon stealing the OVW Television Title and demands it be returned. Dean Hill comes out and says that what Big Jon did was wrong and he called Jon and asked him to bring it with him tonight. Big Jon comes out and Dean asks him where the title is.
Jon says he got confused. He has his car title, his condo title, his trailer title, and a title for some abandoned cargo boxes that no one needs to worry about. He says where is Josh's so-called champion? He says how about he brings the so-called champion next week, and he will bring HIS TV title. Josh is upset and calls Jon a dirty ape. Dean says he will make the rematch next week, but as far as he is concerned, Josh is on his own. Jon chokeslams Casey, and Josh picks up the bat. Before he can swing it at Jon, Jon hits him with a big boot.

OVW HEAVYWEIGHT TITLE: "Wrestling's Rockstar" Ryan Howe (c) defeats "The Double R Superstar" Randy Royal. Royal hits Howe with a chair after referee AJ Lucio gets knocked out, but Howe kicks out. Royal also hits Howe later on with the Royal Flush, but Howe kicks out. Royal tries for another, but Howe reverses into the Whammy Bar and Royal is forced to tap. After the match, Royal shakes Howe's hand.

This ended the TV taping.

Post-Show Dark Matches:

Luscious Lexxi Green defeats The Amazing Grace after hitting a pedigree.

"The Tag Buddies": Adam Revolver & Rev. Stu Miles defeat "Primetime" Robbie Walker & Abe Knox after knocking Knox from the ring and hitting a double faceplant on Walker for the 3.

As always, thanks for reading!
