OVW TV #855: "164...and 1"

This is the OVW Report for Wednesday, January 6, 2016. This episode can be seen on WBNA-21 in the Louisville area on Saturday at 11AM and 10PM, and online on Monday at www.ovwrestling.com/tv. In this episode, Devin Driscoll defends the OVW TV Title against Big Jon, Gilbert Corsey interviews NEW OVW Heavyweight Champion Ryan Howe, plus more!

Without further ado:

Here we go...

Pre-Show Dark Matches:

"The Bad Boys Club": Shane Andrews & Randy Royal (w/Jessie Belle) defeat Rook & Leon Shelly after Randy hits the Royal Flush on Rook followed by a frog splash from Shane for the 3.

J. Best defeats Jamie Jamison after hitting a pedigree.

Maria James defeats Jessie Belle & Luscious Lexxi after pinning Lexxi in a triple threat match.

That concludes tonight's pre-show dark matches. I always recommend watching the episode first on TV or online before reading the rest of the report. Again, you can check it out on WBNA ion-21 in the Louisville area Saturdays at 11AM and 10PM (check local listings) and on OVW's official website Mondays at www.ovwrestling.com/tv.

Gilbert Corsey & Ron Hed are on commentary, and Ron is also the ring announcer.

"Primetime" Robbie Walker & "The Technical Titan" Eric Locker defeat Tyler Matrix & "The Chosen One" Mitch Huff. Matrix caught Locker with a kick to the face, but the ref was distracted by Huff & Walker on the outside. Locker rolls Matrix up with a handful of tights for the 3.

Ted McNaler comes out and says he is wrestling one more time for a Hearts in Motion fundraiser show on January 15 and he is still looking for a partner. It's not Adam Revolver.
The Van Zandt Family Circus comes out and Ted says it's the Manson family. He asks who wants to tag with him, the skinny one or the fat one. Dapper Dan says he wants Ted to send a message to his partner, and they attack him. Rev. Stu Miles runs out to help, but gets thrown out.
Adam Revolver then runs out and helps Ted clear the ring. Stu gets back in and says how about one more time, the Mobile Homers reunite and face the Circus. They shake hands and agree to tag.

"The Party Starter" Bud Dwight defeats Ravishing Ronny after hitting the Party Slam.

Gilbert Corsey interviews the NEW OVW Heavyweight Champion Ryan Howe. Howe says he is now a 2-time Heavyweight Champion and it feels good. He says he beat Chris Silvio, lost it to Rob Conway, but beat Conway to get it back. Gilbert mentions the attack at the hands of Rocco Bellagio following the match, and this brings Rocco out with Josh Ashcraft. Josh says Rocco did not cash in his golden ticket yet, but Howe will lose the title again to Rocco. Rocco says at the February 6 SNS, he will cash in, and Howe's luck will run out.
Dean Hill comes out and wants to make sure it's official. He signs Rocco's golden ticket and it will be Rocco vs. Ryan for the Heavyweight Title.

OVW TELEVISION TITLE: Devin Driscoll (c) (w/Josh Ashcraft & Casey Reeves) defeats Big Jon. Jon hit the chokeslam on Driscoll after a big boot, but Reeves got on the apron to distract referee Dave Banyon. Josh gets in the ring with the title belt, but Jon punches him and grabs the title. He clocks Driscoll, but Banyon sees it and calls for the DQ. Jon gets upset and chokeslams Banyon.

This ended the TV taping.

Post-Show Dark Matches:

Dapper Dan Van Zandt (w/the Ringmaster) defeats Rev. Stu Miles (w/Adam Revolver) after using Ringmaster's whip while referee AJ Lucio was distracted by Revolver & Ringmaster on the outside.

As always, thanks for reading!
