OVW TV #816: "The Faith Movement Continues"

This is the OVW Report for Wednesday, April 8, 2015. This episode can be seen on WBNA-21 in the Louisville area on Saturday at 9AM and 10PM, and online on Monday at www.ovwrestling.com/tv. In this episode, Ryan Howe defends the OVW Television Title, "King of Knoxville" Shane Williams is in action with Vic the Bruiser in his corner, Mohamad Ali Vaez talks about the faith movement, Josh Ashcraft's War Machine has a special demonstration, plus more!

Without further ado:

Here we go...

Pre-Show Dark Matches:

Trevor Steele defeated Dave-Lo. Trevor pretty much dominated the match and won following a vicious clothesline for the 3. Following the match, Trevor continued to attack Dave-Lo.
The Assassin came out and confronted Trevor again, but Trevor left the ring.

J. Best defeated Dre Blitz. Best controlled early, Blitz started to make a comeback, but misses a charge in the corner. Best rolls him up with a handful of tights for 3.

That concludes tonight's pre-show dark matches. I always recommend watching the episode first on TV or online before reading the rest of the report. Again, you can check it out on WBNA ion-21 in the Louisville area Saturdays at 9AM and 10PM (check local listings) and on OVW's official website Mondays at www.ovwrestling.com/tv.

Shannon the Dude & Gilbert Corsey are on commentary, and Shannon is the ring announcer.

OVW TELEVISION TITLE: "Wrestling's Rockstar" Ryan Howe (c) defeated Dapper Dan with the Chart Topper for 3.

"The King of Knoxville" Shane Williams (w/Vic the Bruiser) defeated Leon Shelly after a neckbreaker and flying fist drop.
After the match, Vic attacked Leon and Randy Royal ran out with a baseball bat to run Vic & Shane off. He says he takes responsibility for what happened Saturday, because he should have known what Vic was capable of, and knows he is the reason he couldn't make it. He says he has another partner lined up to face them at the May Saturday Night Special.

Gilbert Corsey brings Josh Ashcraft & The War Machine to the ring. They come with chairs, boards, and an apple. Josh talks about the tag match between the War Machine and Trailer Park Trash & Danny Davis in Knoxville. Eric Locker shows how strong he is by squishing the apple with his bare hand, and Big Jon hammers nails into the board with his bare hand. Josh says these were examples of what will happen to Trash's head when Locker squashes it, and what will happen to Danny's face when Jon hits him. He then says he is not worried about Jim Cornette, who comes to ringside. Cornette says he is out here to talk to Gilbert. He tells Gilbert to run in the next 5-7 seconds. Trash runs out and throws powder in the eyes of Jon, and Trash hits Locker with his belt while Danny cracks a board across the head of Jon. They go after Josh, but Locker is able to pull him out of the ring.
Cornette mentions the tag match with himself and Josh in each corner for Knoxville, but says the next night in Louisville for the Saturday Night Special, all 6 men will be in action in a 6-man tag. He says if they have to cheat to win, they will. If they get arrested, they'll be in jail, but at least Josh & the War Machine will be in the hospital.

Elvis Pridemoore defeated "Rudo" Raul LaMotta after turning the tables from last week. Raul was distracted by the cameraman he has been having conflict with, and Elvis rolled him up with a handful of tights for 3.
After the match, Raul says the cameraman has been a bad luck charm and knows he has tried to trip him with cords and get in his way. He calls him in the ring. The cameraman puts the camera down and takes off his shirt.
Raul pokes him in the chest, but the cameraman slams him hard. Raul rolls out of the ring and asks where that came from.

Mohamad Ali Vaez & the Congregation come to the ring, and Ali sits and talks about the faith movement and how he has defeated every obstacle...Ryan Howe, Adam Revolver, and most recently Eddie Diamond. Eddie comes out and says that he had Ali beat. Ali says he is still the champion and now Eddie has to work his way back up from the bottom of the barrel. Eddie says that's fine. Ali gives him an opportunity, he says if Eddie can defeat every member of the Congregation over the next few weeks, he will give him another title shot, starting with Jade Dawson tonight.
Eddie Diamond defeats Jade Dawson via submission to the Cripwalk Crossface, despite interference from Ali & Rev. Stu Miles.
After the match, Eddie is attacked by Stu & Ali, with Ali hitting 3 neckbreakers on Eddie and standing over him to end the show.

This ended the TV taping.

Post-Show Dark Matches:

OVW Southern Tag Team Champions "The War Machine": Big Jon & Eric Locker (w/Josh Ashcraft) defeated "Wrestling's Rockstar" Ryan Howe & Adam Wylde. Wylde went up top and leapt for Jon, but Jon caught him, threw him up on Locker's shoulders, and Locker threw him up and caught him in a German Suplex for the 3 as Jon knocked Howe off the apron.

As always, thanks for reading!

  1. Raul, I don't think getting Bodyslamed by a cameraman is going to help your respect issues any.

  2. I'd say the cameraman got just the right "SHOT" on Raul.

  4. Hey Brian what ever happened to Shiloa Jones & The Body Guy thought they would have formed a new team to feud against the new war machines since they both got screwed over by they're old partners

  5. What is the theme tune that the War Machine use nowadays? It's annoying me trying to find out
