OVW TV #801: "Throw Out the Magic Beanie"

This is the OVW Report for Wednesday, December 17, 2014. This episode can be seen on WBNA-21 in the Louisville area on Saturday, December 27 at 9AM and 10PM, and online on Monday, December 29 at www.ovwrestling.com/tv. In this episode, Danny Davis & Trailer Park Trash are in tag action, the Fabulous Free Bodies defend the Southern Tag Team Titles against the team of Ryan Howe & Rump Thump, Adam Revolver is back with the magic beanie hat, plus more!

Once again, I will provide a quicker recap with the holidays approaching.

Without further ado:

Here we go...

Pre-Show Dark Matches:

Timmy Danger vs. Elvis Pridemoore.
A back and forth match, but Elvis with a flying fist and a jawbreaker to put Timmy away.
WINNER: ELVIS by pinfall.

"The No Class Connection": Deonta Davis & Leon Shelly vs. Rump Thump & "Wrestling's Rockstar" Ryan Howe.
Howe & Rump with quick tags early. A distraction allows No Class to take advantage over Rump, but he gets the tag to Howe. Howe fires away and tags Rump. Howe hits the sliding uppercut to Deonta, and Deonta turns into the Thump for the 3.
WINNERS: RUMP & HOWE by pinfall.

That concludes tonight's pre-show dark matches. I always recommend watching the episode first on TV or online before reading the rest of the report. Again, you can check it out on WBNA ion-21 in the Louisville area Saturdays at 9AM and 10PM (check local listings) and on OVW's official website Mondays at www.ovwrestling.com/tv.

Dean Hill & Gilbert Corsey are on commentary, and Shannon the Dude is the ring announcer.

Dapper Dan vs. Adam Wyld.
Dan uses his strength and size advantage to control most of the match. Wyld fights back and hits a springboard kick off the ropes to Dan's head for the 3.
WINNER: WYLD by pinfall.

The Congregation is out, and Rev. Stuart Miles says he has a good word: 'immigration'. He says people that have illegally immigrated have ruined this country, and made it what it is, but tonight Jade Dawson is going to take care of one of those people in Randy Terrez. He says Terrez may have a wrestling license, but no green card.
Jade Dawson (w/"Apostle" Jake Glasure & "Pastor of Disaster" Rev. Stuart Miles) vs. Randy Terrez.
Jade attacks Terrez and has the early advantage thanks to outside interference from Glasure & Miles. Miles has the ref distracted and Glasure holds Terrez on the apron. Jade charges at Terrez, but he breaks free, and Jade knocks Glasure to the floor. Miles checks on Glasure as Terrez comes back, hits a twisting forearm to the back of Jade, and hits the corkscrew suplex for the 3.
WINNER: TERREZ by pinfall.
Gilbert Corsey interviews Terrez about last week. Terrez says the Mexicutioner is resting and says what's done is done as far as the Fabulous Free Bodies using a foreign object to win. The Free Bodies come out, and Bodyguy says that it is 2014 and a lot can be done with video editing.
Jim Cornette comes out and says he saw the tape, and regardless of what was used or not used, the Free Bodies will defend the Southern Tag Titles against TerreMex in a rematch at the January 3 SNS.

"Primetime" Robbie Walker vs. Eddie F. Diamond.
During the match, Mary Jane comes to ringside and roots for Eddie. A good back and forth match, but in the end, Eddie catches Robbie's foot on a Cosmic Kick attempt, and ends up taking him down and locking in the Cripwalk Crossface for the tapout.
WINNER: EFD by submission.

Backstage, we see Trailer Park Trash & Danny Davis preparing for their match later tonight. Danny is still upset about Michael Titus ruining the DVD with shoutouts from his good friends in WWE last week. He can't wait to get his hands on the War Machine tonight in E-Town (December 27). Trash asks him about tonight after several years of not being on OVW TV as a wrestler. Danny says it's been 12-13 years, but he's ready.

OVW SOUTHERN TAG TEAM TITLE MATCH: Rump Thump & "Wrestling's Rockstar" Ryan Howe vs. "The Fabulous Free Bodies": The Bodyguy & Big Jon (c).
Rump & Howe with a quick start, but the Free Bodies take advantage and work over Rump. He gets away to tag Howe. Howe fires away on Bodyguy and knocks Jon to the floor. Like earlier in the night, Howe hits the sliding uppercut to Bodyguy, and Rump hits the Thump, but Bodyguy gets knocked into Howe on the apron, and Howe falls to the floor. Rump looks out to check on him, and turns around into a big boot from Big Jon. Bodyguy covers him for the 3.
WINNERS and STILL OVW SOUTHERN TAG TEAM CHAMPIONS: FREE BODIES by pinfall.

Adam Revolver comes to the ring and says he is about to give someone an opportunity again by picking a name out of his magic beanie hat. Referee Nick Dumeyer pulls one out (like it mattered), and it's "Ram Jam".
OVW HEAVYWEIGHT TITLE: Adam Revolver (c) vs. "Ram Jam" Jonathan Ramser.
Revolver dominates most of the match, except for one small package from Ram Jam. Adam finishes him with the russian leg sweep and sleeper hold.
WINNER and STILL OVW HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPION: REVOLVER by pinfall.
Gilbert Corsey interviews Adam Revolver and asks him if this is really the type of champion he wants to be. Revolver says he is the 'fightingest' champion of all-time and is about giving opportunity.
Jim Cornette comes out and says this whole thing has been one big con and the only reason he's allowed it to go on as long as he has is because he was hoping Adam would slip on a banana peel, knock himself out, and get beat so he could come out and laugh at him. He says that fortunately, Adam doesn't know how to properly execute a piledriver, and Michael Hayes' neck isn't broke, nor does he have a concussion, maybe a small one, but he will be ready to go at the next Saturday Night Special, where Adam will defend the OVW Heavyweight Title against Hayes!

"Nightmare" Danny Davis & Trailer Park Trash vs. "The No Class Connection": Deonta Davis & Leon Shelly.
Deonta mocks Danny & Trash by coming out with a cane. Danny & Trash take the fight to No Class, schooling them with hard chops and slams. They are in complete control when the War Machine runs out and interferes.
WINNERS: DANNY & TRASH by DQ.
Danny & Trash fight back and knock the War Machine from the ring, leaving Michael Titus. They try to grab him, but he slips out of his jacket as he is pulled from the ring by Josh Ashcraft. Danny & Trash stand tall to end the show.

This ended the TV taping.

Post-Show Dark Matches:

"The Congregation": Jade Dawson & "Apostle" Jake Glasure (w/"Pastor of Disaster" Rev. Stuart Miles) vs. Adam Wyld & "Primetime" Robbie Walker.
The Congregation work over Robbie for most of the match, including Miles hitting him on the outside against the barricade and slapping him with the "Be Healed" shot to the head. Robbie tags Wyld, and Wyld is fresh and on fire, but the numbers game catches up and Jade & Glasure hit him with the double "Blessed" leg sweep, driving him to the mat for the 3.
WINNERS: CONGREGATION by pinfall.

As always, thanks for reading!
