OVW TV #793: "Silvio Show Security?"

This is the OVW Report for Wednesday, October 29, 2014. This episode can be seen online starting tomorrow at www.ovwrestling.com/tv. In this episode, Michael Hayes takes on Chris Silvio for the OVW Television Title, Timmy Danger has something very important to say to Josh Ashcraft, champion  and challenger team up as Cliff Compton & Melvin Maximus face the War Machine, plus more!

Without further ado:

Here we go...

Pre-Show Dark Matches:

"No Class Connection": Leon Shelly & Deonta Davis vs. "The Wild Boyz": Eddie F. Diamond & "The Party Starter" Bud Dwight.
The Wild Boyz make quick tags and have the early advantage, until a referee distraction allows No Class to take over. They work over Dwight's leg until he can tag EFD. The Wild Boyz regain control, EFD hits a flying forearm off Dwight's back onto Leon and they hit their side slam/reverse DDT combo for the 3.
WINNERS: WILD BOYZ by pinfall.
After the match, No Class tries to rap, but are interrupted by someone wearing a joker's costume. They pull off his mask to reveal the Assassin who clotheslines them both.

Dapper Dan vs. "Ram Jam" Jonathan Ramser.
Dan controls most of the match using his size advantage to wear down Ram Jam. Ram Jam tries to come back, but misses a leap off the ropes. Dan hits him with the German Suplex for the 3.
WINNER: DAN by pinfall.

J. Best vs. "Primetime" Robbie Walker.
A quick back and forth match that sees Walker connect with the Cosmic Kick for the 3.
WINNER: WALKER by pinfall.

That concludes tonight's pre-show dark matches. I always recommend watching the episode first on TV or online before reading the rest of the report. Again, you can check it out on OVW's official website late Thursday afternoon/evening at www.ovwrestling.com/tv and on WBNA ion-21 in the Louisville area Saturdays at 9AM and 10PM (check local listings).

Dean Hill & Gilbert Corsey are on commentary, and Gilbert is also the ring announcer.

We see scenes from this past Saturday in E-Town.
OVW TELEVISION TITLE: Michael Hayes vs. "The Psychadelic Superstar" Chris Silvio (w/Mary Jane) (c).
Silvio attacks Hayes from behind and has the early advantage until he leaps off the top rope to the outside and is caught with a hit to the gut. Hayes gets some shots in on Silvio's taped ribs. We go back and forth with Silvio hitting a diamond cutter off the second rope, Hayes locking in the Liberty Lock only for Silvio to get his foot on the ropes, and not one, but two facebusters from Hayes to Silvio. Silvio kicks out of the first one, but before Hayes can cover Silvio following the second one, a large man comes out wearing a Chris Silvio Show shirt that has SECURITY on the back, and attacks Hayes, hitting him with a chokeslam.
WINNER: HAYES by DQ.

Gilbert Corsey brings out Danny Davis. Danny has the production team shut off the cameras and monitors, as he just wants to talk directly to the fans in attendance.
He says everyone knows what happened last week. He said if he could, he would fire Michael Titus. However, everyone wants to sue everyone nowadays. Firing Titus would open up a can of worms in dealing with attorneys and lawsuits, and could put OVW out of business. He said that Titus was a chicken and didn't show up tonight, but here's what he can do...Titus is contractually obligated to be at the Saturday Night Special. If he doesn't show up, he's fired. If he does show up, he is also inviting Trailer Park Trash Frank Miller to be there and we'll see what happens, but either way, he thinks the fans will like the outcome.
He then calls Frank out to explain why he didn't just lay Titus out last week. Frank says when he started with OVW, he liked drinking and fighting. Many times, he wound up in jail, and Danny had to bail him out. When his daughter was born, things changed, and now he worries about her and doesn't do the stupid things he used to. He said he didn't want to revert back to his old ways last week with Titus, because if he did, he probably would have killed him.

"Rudo" Raul LaMotta vs. Dave-Lo.
Josh Ashcraft is the referee. Before the competitors come out, Josh looks at the crowd and says he is the senior official while Joe Wheeler is the Senior Citizen Official. Before the match even gets started, Timmy Danger runs out and goes after Josh. Dave-Lo is distracted by this, and then turns into a big clothesline from Raul, and Raul walks off.
NO CONTEST.
Timmy gets in the ring with a mic and calls Josh back out. He has something very, very important to say. He said that a match has been made for the Saturday Night Special, and it will be Timmy Danger vs. Josh Ashcraft. Oh, and one more thing...the title of senior official will be on the line!

"The Congregation": "Apostle" Jake Glasure, "Altar Boy" Jade Dawson, & "The Pastor of Disaster" Rev. Stuart Miles vs. Ryan Howe & "The Wild Boyz": Eddie F. Diamond & "The Party Starter" Bud Dwight.
In the ring, the Wild Boyz are taking it to Jade & Jake while Howe & Miles are arguing. Miles is the legal man and Howe gets tagged in. Miles hides behind Jake & Jade. The Wild Boyz double clothesline Jake & Jade to the outside. Miles sneaks up behind Howe and rolls him up for the 3.
WINNERS: CONGREGATION by pinfall.

The Bodyguy (w/Big Jon) vs. Elvis Pridemoore.
Bodyguy works over Elvis, but Elvis starts firing back. Big Jon gets on the apron and is accidentally hit by Bodyguy. The distraction still allows Bodyguy to hit Elvis with the pedigree for the 3.
WINNER: BODYGUY by pinfall.
After the match, the Bodyguy is interviewed by Gilbert Corsey. Gilbert asks him about ordering Big Jon to take out Rump Thump. Rump comes out, pushes Jon aside, and says Bodyguy was jealous that he beat him. Big Jon attacks Rump from behind and hits Rump's bad knee off the floor at ringside.

"The War Machine": Shiloh Jonze & Eric Locker vs. "Mister Marvelous" Melvin Maximus & Cliff Compton.
Cliff & Melvin keep tagging themselves in and you can tell there is a lot of tension. Melvin catches Locker in the Bearhug, but Shiloh comes in and jumps on Melvin's back and locks in a sleeper while Melvin still has Locker in the Bearhug. Cliff goes up top and leaps off, but Shiloh gets off Melvin's back at the last minute and Cliff hits Melvin. Shiloh & Locker leave as Cliff tries to explain it was an accident.
They get into a shoving match before a brawl breaks out.
Superstars and referees try to keep them separated.
NO CONTEST.

This ended the TV taping.

Post-Show Dark Matches:

Shiloh Jonze vs. Randy Terrez.
Shiloh works over Terrez early, but Terrez starts to make his comeback. He hits the spinning forearm to Shiloh's back and goes to charge him in the corner. Shiloh puts the ref in front of him and Terrez stops and moves him out of the way. Meanwhile, Shiloh grabs his tag title belt and clocks Terrez and covers him as the ref turns around to make the 3.
WINNER: SHILOH by pinfall.

This episode of OVW TV will be up online tomorrow.

This Saturday at the Saturday Night Special, Cliff Compton defends the OVW Heavyweight Title against Melvin Maximus, Timmy Danger faces Josh Ashcraft for title of senior official, TerreMex faces the War Machine for the OVW Southern Tag Team Titles, Ryan Howe faces Rev. Stuart Miles with the good book and the guitar hung from a pole match, plus much more!

As always, thanks for reading!

  1. That costume The Assassin is wearing is actually a Harley Quinn costume.
