OVW TV #755: "New #1 Contender: Jamin or Shiloh?"

This is the OVW Report for Wednesday, February 5, 2014. This episode can be seen online starting tomorrow at www.ovwrestling.com/tv. In this episode, Jamin Olivencia & Shiloh Jonze battle for #1 contendership to the OVW Heavyweight Title, Melvin Maximus defends the OVW TV Title, Jessie Belle and Lovely Lylah compete in Femme Fatale action, plus more!

Without further ado:

Here we go...

Pre-Show Dark Matches:

Tony Gunn (w/Shiloh Jonze, Raul LaMotta, & Nick Dumeyer) vs. Robbie Walker.
Raul grabs at Robbie's foot, causing a distraction, and Gunn attacks from behind. Gunn with a suplex and a chop in the corner. Robbie starts to fire back, but Gunn kicks him and throws him to the outside. While the ref is distracted by Raul, Dumeyer hits Robbie, and Shiloh slams Robbie on the floor. Back inside, Gunn hits Robbie with an Alabama Slam for the 3.
WINNER: GUNN by pinfall.

"The Pastor of Disaster" Rev. Stu Miles comes to the ring and says that it is his mission from the "one above" to rid OVW of all the scum. That includes all the drunkards and gluttons in the audience. He has already gotten rid of Paredyse, but his mission is far from over.

The Bodyguy vs. "The Welsh Colossus" Rob Terry.
Rob slings Bodyguy down. Bodyguy wants a test of strength, and Rob with one hand, twists Bodyguy's wrist and arm up. Bodyguy rakes Rob in the eyes, but after a couple shots, Rob hammers Bodyguy down. Bodyguy rolls out of the ring and runs off.
WINNER: TERRY by countout.

That concludes tonight's pre-show dark matches. I always recommend watching the episode first on TV or online before reading the rest of the report. Again, you can check it out on OVW's official website late Thursday afternoon/evening at www.ovwrestling.com/tv and on WBNA ion-21 in the Louisville area Saturdays at 9AM with replays on Wednesdays currently airing at 7PM.

Leon Shelly vs. "Wrestling's Rockstar" Ryan Howe.
Howe works over Leon's arm throughout most of the match. Leon tries to fight back, but goes back down after a dropkick from Howe. Howe locks in the armbreaker to make Leon tap.
WINNER: HOWE by submission.

Gilbert Corsey interviews Trailer Park Trash at ringside. Gilbert says Trash & Flash almost had the Marauders at the Saturday Night Special until the numbers game caught up. Trash says the numbers game did catch up, but then says they have a tag match in E-Town on the 22nd, where the kendo sticks will be on a pole. He tells Shiloh to keep one eye open, because you never know when he is going to strike.

Jessie Belle vs. Lovely Lylah.
The match barely gets underway when the masked person who took out Lei'D Tapa a couple weeks ago runs out and takes out Lylah's knee.
NO CONTEST.

"The Justin Bieber of Professional Wrestling" Dylan Bostic & Robo De Luna vs. Eddie F. Diamond & Deonta Davis.
EFD starts out getting the better of Bostic. He tags in Deonta to work over Bostic's arm. Bostic gets the upperhand and tags in and out with Robo to wear down Deonta. As Deonta inches closer to making a tag, Dylan yells for Robo to get in. Dylan knocks EFD off the apron and throws Deonta into a spear from De Luna to get the 3.
WINNERS: BOSTIC & DE LUNA by pinfall.
Gilbert Corsey interviews Bostic & De Luna at ringside. Gilbert asks what happened to his "wing man". Dylan says that he is tired of being a laughing stock and being put on the backburner. He thought about it and decided he needed some muscle to go after the OVW Southern Tag Team Championships. Gilbert asks Robo how much he was paid to be Dylan's partner, and Robo speaks totally in Spanish.
Mohamad Ali Vaez runs out and swings a chair at them, and they run to the back. He says that he asked Danny Davis for a favor, and next week will face Dylan Bostic 1-on-1, looking for revenge for his partner and friend, Michael Hayes.

OVW TELEVISION TITLE: Elvis Pridemoore vs. "Mister Marvelous" Melvin Maximus (c).
Elvis with some quick strikes early, but runs into a massive clothesline from Melvin. Melvin locks him in the bearhug to get the tapout.
WINNER: MELVIN by submission.
The Bodyguy's music hits and he comes to ringside. He says that Melvin left him beaten and embarrassed at the Saturday Night Special after all he had done for him. He looked in the official OVW rulebook and found that when there is not a contender named for a title shot, a former champion may take that spot. As a former champion, he is naming himself #1 contender for the OVW TV Title next week.

#1 CONTENDER for the OVW HEAVYWEIGHT TITLE: Shiloh Jonze (w/Raul LaMotta, Tony Gunn, & Nick Dumeyer) vs. Jamin Olivencia.
An excellent main event. Jamin comes out on fire, really taking it to Shiloh, but the Marauders interfere and Shiloh takes advantage. Referee Chris Sharpe sends them all to the back. Jamin comes back with his kamikaze splash, running high knee, and jumping clothesline. He goes for the Standing O, but Shiloh throws him off and hits him with 2 enziguris to the head. Jamin kicks out at 2. Shiloh sits Jamin on the top rope, but Jamin knocks Shiloh off and hits his reverse splash, but Shiloh kicks out at 2. Jamin hits 10 punches on Shiloh in the corner, but when he gets down, he accidentally knocks into Sharpe. As he checks on Sharpe, Shiloh recovers and dropkicks him. Shiloh takes off his boot to hit Jamin with, but Trailer Park Trash runs out with the kendo stick and blasts Shiloh in the back. Shiloh turns into a Standing O from Jamin as Sharpe recovers to make the 3.
WINNER and NEW #1 CONTENDER: JAMIN by pinfall.
Marcus Anthony runs out to the ring with Timmy Danger barking orders as Jamin celebrates. Marcus clocks Jamin with the title belt and locks him in the Crimson Omen to end the show.

This ended the TV taping.

Post-Show Dark Matches:

Eddie F. Diamond vs. Marcus Anthony (w/Timmy Danger).
Marcus dominates most of this match. EFD tries to get in some offense, but most of it doesn't phase the big man. Marcus is able to lock in the Crimson Omen and EFD passes out.
WINNER: MARCUS by submission.
Danger tells Marcus to lock the Crimson Omen back in, but referee Josh Ashcraft tells him to stop. Marcus grabs Josh and gives him a powerslam.

Next week, Melvin Maximus defends the OVW TV Title against the Bodyguy, and Mohamad Ali Vaez looks for revenge on behalf of Michael Hayes against Dylan Bostic! This episode of OVW TV will be up online tomorrow. As always, thanks for reading!
