OVW TV #749: "And NEW Heavyweight Champion?"

MERRY CHRISTMAS! This is the OVW Report for Wednesday, December 25, 2013. This episode can be seen online starting tomorrow at www.ovwrestling.com/tv. In this episode, Jamin Olivencia wants to get his hands on Marcus Anthony & Timmy Danger, Ryan Howe interrupts the broadcast with a message for Jay Bradley, the Bodyguy tries to defend the Women's Title again, plus more!

Without further ado:

Here we go...

Pre-Show Dark Matches:

Evan Markopoulos & Dylan Bostic (w/Ray Lyn) vs. Michael Hayes & Mohamad Ali Vaez.
A quick start for Hayes & Ali, but Evan & Dylan take over after Ray Lyn gets involved. They work over Hayes until he is able to get the tag back to Ali. Ali takes them both down and hits the double kneedrop.
Hayes calls Ray Lyn into the ring and has referee Josh Ashcraft take a picture of them with Ray Lyn, and a video of them hitting the kneebuster to the face of Evan, followed by the neckbreaker for the 3.
WINNERS: HAYES & ALI by pinfall.

OVW TELEVISION TITLE: "Rudo" Raul LaMotta (w/Clint Poe & Nick Dumeyer) vs. Paredyse (c).
Even though Poe & Dumeyer tried to interfere, it didn't work. Paredyse controlled the match using his unorthodox array of offense on Raul, and finishing him off with the seated senton for the 1-2-3.
WINNER and STILL OVW TV CHAMPION: PAREDYSE by pinfall.

That concludes tonight's pre-show dark matches. I always recommend watching the episode first on TV or online before reading the rest of the report. Again, you can check it out on OVW's official website late Thursday afternoon/evening at www.ovwrestling.com/tv and on WBNA ion-21 in the Louisville area Saturdays at 9AM with replays Wednesdays at 9PM after WWE Main Event.

Jamin Olivencia comes out and says that Timmy Danger has been a distraction and it almost caused him to get his neck broken by Marcus Anthony last week. He calls them out to the ring, but they don't come. Jamin says they are cowards. He also says he is a fighting champion and will put up the title if Marcus comes to the ring, but still no sign of Marcus or Timmy. Jamin says he is going to get out of the ring and find them then.

Del Cardinal vs. Elvis Pridemoore.
This match never gets started as Ryan Howe interrupts. He says he has something to get off his chest. He calls out Jay Bradley for injuring his partner, Rockstar Spud, last week. He says wrestling is the way they put food on the table, and they could have ended a man's career. The two brawl and Howe says they will meet one-on-one next week.

The Bodyguy comes out and says that 4M has found him a worthy opponent, so that he can finally get rid of the "hunk of metal", the Women's Title.
OVW WOMEN'S TITLE: The Bodyguy (w/4M) (c) vs. Jessie Belle.
Bodyguy says he is just going to lay down and let her pin him, but before Jessie Belle can make the pin, the Assassin's music hits. He comes to the ring, sticks out his arm, and escorts Jessie Belle to the back.
WINNER and STILL OVW WOMEN'S CHAMPION: BODYGUY by countout.

Ted McNaler (w/Brittany Devore & Adam Revolver) vs. Mohamad Ali Vaez (w/Michael Hayes).
There was a stipulation for this match that the winner got to pick the stipulation for the tag title match in E-Town on Dec. 28. Ali was on fire, so Ted went down with a "knee injury" again. Ali didn't buy it, and delivered 3 suplexes. He flipped Adam into the ring and gave them both the double kneedrop. Ali knocked Adam to the outside, where Michael fought with Adam. Ted set up for the spear, but Ali caught him and rolled him up in a small package. The ref was distracted by Adam & Michael on the outside, and Brittany ran in and flipped Ted on top of Ali. The ref turned to count to 3.
WINNER: MCNALER by pinfall.
Adam says since they get to pick the stipulation, if Michael & Ali lose, they have to split up as a team forever!

OVW HEAVYWEIGHT TITLE: "Strongest Gamer Alive" Marcus Anthony (w/Timmy Danger) vs. Jamin Olivencia (c).
A really good main event. Marcus uses his strength to his advantage. Jamin starts firing back, hitting a missile dropkick and the kamikaze splashes. He connects with the Standing O, but Marcus kicks out!. He tries for another one, but Marcus blocks it and then locks in the full nelson, and Jamin is out!
WINNER and NEW OVW HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPION: MARCUS by submission.
Marcus keeps the full nelson locked in and doesn't let go. Referee Chris Sharpe warns him to release the hold, but he still doesn't. Sharpe has no choice but to reverse the decision!
WINNER and STILL OVW HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPION: JAMIN by DQ.
Marcus drops Jamin, but Danger tells him to lock it on again. They finally leave the ring as they bring out a backboard to stretcher Jamin out, who's foaming at the mouth. Paredyse, Eddie Diamond, & Leon Shelly are all out to help. As they get him loaded and are about to take him to the back, Marcus comes back out again and attacks him and again locks in the full nelson. He gets hit with the backboard by Paredyse, but he grabs Paredyse and throws him down. He throws Eddie Diamond out of the ring, and powerslams Leon Shelly.

This ended the TV taping.

Post-Show Dark Matches:

There were none tonight due to the double taping.

This episode of OVW TV will be up online tomorrow. As always, thanks for reading!
