OVW Saturday Night Special November 2013 Results

This is the OVW Saturday Night Special Report for Saturday, November 2, 2013.

Tonight in the main event, Jamin Olivencia defended the OVW Heavyweight Title against Shiloh Jonze. Plus, the Women's Title was on the line as Lei'D Tapa defended against Lovely Lylah, Michael Hayes & Mohamad Ali Vaez defended the Southern Tag Team Titles against the Furions, Jay Bradley faced off with Eddie Diamond, and much more!

Without further ado:

Here we go...

TAG TEAM MATCH: "The Marvelous Bodies" 4M & the Bodyguy vs. "Double Platinum" Ryan Howe & Rockstar Spud.
Howe with a hot start, but 4M & Bodyguy take control after Spud is tagged in. Spud is able to make a hot tag back to Howe. Howe hits his sliding uppercut and strumming guitar fistdrop on Bodyguy. 4M breaks a pin which brings Spud back in. Howe & Spud double dropkick him from the ring, and Spud hits a missile dropkick off the top rope to Bodyguy. Howe gets the 1-2-3.
WINNERS: PLATINUM by pinfall.

6-MAN TAG: "The Marauders" Clint Poe, Joe Coleman, & Nick Dumeyer (w/Shiloh Jonze & Raul LaMotta) vs. Robo De Luna, Elvis Pridemoore, & J. Best.
Every man gets a chance to fight as Elvis starts off with Dumeyer and has him reeling. Dumeyer tags Poe, and Best tags himself in. Poe works over Best, who tags out to Robo, and Poe tags Coleman. Robo gets the better of Coleman, but things break loose when the other Marauders get involved. As Best & Elvis fight with the other Marauders on the outside, the Masked Marauder runs in and cracks Robo from behind with a steel chair, allowing Coleman to steal a pin and a win.
WINNERS: MARAUDERS by pinfall.
After the match, Shiloh says that tonight Jamin will be handing the title over to him.

OVW WOMEN'S TITLE: Lovely Lylah vs. Lei'D Tapa (c).
Tapa dominates early, but Lylah finds her inner-aggression and comes back strong, even slamming Tapa. It's not enough, though, as Tapa comes back with the Tongan Grip and then hits the TKO for the pinfall.
WINNER and STILL OVW WOMEN'S CHAMPION: TAPA by pinfall.

3-on-2 HANDICAP MATCH: "The Justin Bieber of Professional Wrestling" Dylan Bostic & Evan Markopoulos vs. Jessie Belle, Holly Blossom, & Stephon J. Baxter III.
Ray Lyn is announced as the special guest referee. Dylan & Evan have the early advantage over Stephon. Every time Stephon tries to come back, Dylan & Evan distract Ray Lyn, which included Dylan taking pictures of and "selfies" with her. Ray Lyn also counts slow throughout the match. Holly & Jessie Belle get in at one point and jump on Dylan & Evan's backs, but get slung off. Stephon comes back in and wails away on Dylan, but Dylan avoids the Rump Thump and is able to roll Stephon up and Ray Lyn makes a very quick 3 for Dylan & Evan to win.
WINNERS: DYLAN & EVAN by pinfall.

Jay Bradley vs. Eddie F. Diamond.
EFD comes out firing away and totally throwing Jay off his game. Jay can't get anything going and rolls to the corner where he removes a turnbuckle pad behind his back. Ref Chris Sharpe notices and while he is distracted by the pad missing, Jay kicks EFD below the belt, then acts like EFD punched him in the face and has no idea how EFD hurt himself when Sharpe turns around. Jay finally gets a little offense going, but when he goes for the Boomstick, EFD catches him in the Crossface and Jay taps out.
WINNER: EFD by submission.

OVW SOUTHERN TAG TEAM TITLES: "The Furions" Rob Terry & Marcus Anthony vs. Michael Hayes & Mohamad Ali Vaez.
Hayes & Ali gets some quick tags in and out as they try to wear down Marcus. Marcus & Rob show off their strength again as they come back and wear down both Ali & Michael. Rob hits a powerbomb on Ali, but Ali kicks out. Rob & Marcus both chokeslam Ali & Michael, but they kick out. Rob & Marcus go to squash Ali & Michael in between them, but they move, and Rob & Marcus run into each other. Marcus & Rob try to shake it off as Marcus grabs Michael. Rob charges, but Michael breaks free, and Rob clotheslines Marcus. Rob grabs Ali for another powerbomb, but Ali punches Rob in the head and is able to reach out and tag Michael. Ali keeps punching Rob as Michael pulls him down. Rob falls and Michael rolls him over for the 3.
WINNERS and STILL OVW SOUTHERN TAG TEAM CHAMPIONS: HAYES & ALI by pinfall.

OVW HEAVYWEIGHT TITLE: TV Champion Shiloh Jonze (w/Joe Coleman, Raul LaMotta, Clint Poe, & Nick Dumeyer) vs. Jamin Olivencia (c).
A very good back and forth match between these two. Jamin keeps getting distracted by the Marauders on the outside which allows Shiloh to take control. Jamin keeps fighting back and fighting the other Marauders off. At one point, Dumeyer is used as a decoy to be thrown out, while Poe, Coleman, & Raul attack Jamin. Later in the match, Shiloh distracts the ref and the Marauders try to attack Jamin again, but he fights them off and clotheslines them out of the ring. Jamin hits his kamikaze splashes in the corner with Shiloh hung up in the Tree of Woe, and he finishes him off with the Standing O for the pinfall.
WINNER and STILL OVW HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPION: OLIVENCIA by pinfall.
Jamin doesn't get to celebrate long. He turns around and Johnny Spade is awaiting him with a super kick to the jaw as he yells out "Who's the Champ Now?".
Spade holds up the title over Jamin.
Officials come out to check on Jamin and help him up, but he pushes them off and holds up the title.
Dean Hill says Jamin is the longest reigning champion, he has held the belt longer than John Cena, longer than Randy Orton, longer than Brock Lesnar, and is a true champion!

Has Spade gotten to Jamin and essentially gotten what he's been in search of, an OVW Heavyweight Title shot? It should be an interesting TV taping Wednesday! As always, thanks for reading!

  1. Despite reports that the relationship between TNA and OVW has ended, Tapa retained. Maybe they are working OVW events after doing their training down in Orlando?

    1. If they do leave, they were probably given so much time to relocate. It could have been a matter of them wanting Tapa to drop the title to someone else.

    1. Are you asking if the Masked Marauder is a hired Gunn?

  3. Cliff Compton is the NWA Saw champion now. Do you think we could see him vs Jamin?

    1. Cliff still works with OVW from time to time. Right now, it looks like the Jamin-Spade match is next up. Could Cliff vs. Jamin happen down the line? Never say never.

  5. I am so very sad to hear of the whole OVW/TNA thing blowing up; but I am indeed very lucky that I got the chance to go to St. Rita's Gym and watch Rockstar Spud win for Double Platinum and then meet him; he is a very nice, sweet man and good luck to him in his future!
