OVW TV #733: "Nightmare Cup Clash"

This is the OVW Report for Wednesday, September 4, 2013. This episode can be seen online starting tomorrow at www.ovwrestling.com/tv. In this episode, the final 4 teams in the Nightmare Cup face off, Eddie Diamond finds a new partner with Timmy Danger nursing injuries, Flash defends the TV Title against Rockstar Spud, plus much more!

Without further ado:

Here we go...

Pre-Show Dark Matches:

Taeler Hendrix vs. Holly Blossom (w/Hannah Blossom).
Taeler says she doesn't need to wrestle, because she is already Miss OVW. Taeler & Holly bump each other in the middle of the ring and pose. They finally lock up all around the ring and to the outside. They argue on the outside and finally look up at the ref's count of 8. They get back in and Holly rolls Taeler up in a small package for 3!
WINNER: HOLLY by pinfall.

Clint Poe vs. Yaden Matthews.
They lock up and Poe stomps on Yaden's foot. Yaden locks in a side headlock and Poe pulls his hair. Poe locks in a side headlock and Yaden pulls his hair. Yaden throws him into the ropes and Poe comes back with a shoulder block, taking Yaden down. Yaden hits back and pokes Poe in the eye. Poe tries to roll Yaden up and pull his hair, but the ref sees it. Yaden then rolls up Poe with a handful of tights and gets the 3.
WINNER: YADEN by pinfall.

That concludes tonight's pre-show dark matches. I always recommend watching the episode first on TV or online before reading the rest of the report. Again, you can check it out on OVW's official website late Thursday afternoon/evening at www.ovwrestling.com/tv and on WBNA ion-21 in the Louisville area Saturdays at 12 noon with replays Wednesdays at 9PM after WWE Main Event.

Tony Gunn enters the building.

Jamin Olivencia comes out and says it's story time. Last week, Jay Bradley used his finishing move on his opponent. So he was going to use the Boomstick, and Jay didn't like it, and gave a Boomstick to him.
Jay Bradley comes out and calls him "muchacho". Jamin says after he wins at SNS, Jay is going to wake up Sunday morning and realize he is not OVW Heavyweight Champion. Jamin shoves Jay and goes after the Boomsleeve on the pole. Jay comes after him, and Jamin kicks him in the face. Jamin turns around and delivers a missile dropkick. He goes back up the pole again and reaches for the Boomsleeve, but can't quite get it. Jay is getting back up and Jamin hits him with a flying forearm. Jamin grabs the title belt to hit Jay, but the referees come out to stop him. Jay recovers and hits Jamin with the loaded Boomstick.

Timmy Danger really wants to team with Eddie Diamond, but Eddie says he is messed up and needs to take it easy, although he still needs him at ringside. Tonight, he will team with Paredyse, and Paredyse says he wants to show him some of his "double team" moves. We then see the Bodyguy begging the Assassin not to him. The Assassin's phone rings and he has an important call and walks out, so Bodyguy is spared. He calls for Melvin Maximus who peeks around a giant fan he was hiding behind.

"The Justin Bieber of Professional Wrestling" Dylan Bostic vs. Evan Markopoulos vs. Aaron Sky.
Dylan & Evan try to double team Aaron, but Aaron dropkicks Evan and monkey flips Dylan. Evan & Dylan both take turns chopping Aaron in the corner. Evan & Dylan start arguing as Aaron goes up top and hits a double dropkick. Aaron grabs Evan, but Dylan grabs Aaron and tosses him from the ring. Evan tries to roll up Dylan for 2. Aaron gets on the top rope and hits a double flying body press on both of them. Aaron puts Evan on his shoulders, but Dylan rolls Aaron up from behind with a handful of tights for the 3.
WINNER: BOSTIC by pinfall.

OVW TV TITLE: Rockstar Spud vs. Flash Flanagan (w/Shiloh Jonze, Joe Coleman, Raul LaMotta, & Nick Dumeyer) [c].
Spud stomps on Raul's hand at ringside. Flash charges, but Spud drop toeholds him onto the second rope. Spud stomps on Shiloh's hand as well. He dropkicks Flash and rolls to the outside ready to fight all of the Marauders. Flash grabs him by the hair, but Spud pulls his head down across the top rope. He jumps in on Flash. The Marauders get on the apron and Flash tries to attack from behind, but Spud ducks and Flash flies to the outside. Spud dives out and takes out Dumeyer. Flash comes after him, but Spud backflips him on the floor. He rolls Flash back in and goes up top. The Marauders interfere again by distracting the ref, and as Spud dives off the top, Flash nails him in the stomach with the kendo stick and gets the pin.
WINNER and STILL OVW TV CHAMPION: FLASH by pinfall.

The Mobile Homers were backstage (inaudible in the arena). We then see Chris Sharpe approach Tony Gunn and tell him that Randy Royal is in the hospital as he suffered another heart attack. Gunn says that's convenient as he throws a fit and swears to find him.

"The Mobile Homers" Adam Revolver & Ted McNaler (w/Brittany Devore) vs. Paredyse & Eddie F. Diamond (w/Timmy Danger).
EFD & Paredyse work over Adam's arm. EFD rolls Adam up for 2. He throws Adam in the corner and hits a forearm, followed by a butt bump from Paredyse. Back on the arm, Adam makes the tag to Ted. Ted runs into an arm drag from Paredyse and his arm is worked over. EFD charges at Ted, but Ted ducks and EFD flies into the ropes. Ted tries to pin for 2. Adam in, takes down EFD. He stomps EFD in the corner and tags Ted in, and they both stomp him. They hit EFD with a double gutbuster. Ted locks in a sleeper, and EFD hits a chinbuster to break the hold. He makes the tag to Paredyse. Paredyse takes Ted down, butt butts Adam and hurricanranas him out of the ring, and then tags EFD. He hits the spinning neckbreaker on Ted as EFD hits a flying Soulja Boy for the 3. Danger looks unhappy as he was talking smack about Paredyse on the outside all through the match.
WINNERS: PAREDYSE & EFD by pinfall.

Backstage, Lylah is still unsure of herself, the Blossoms argue over wearing a bikini at SNS, and Taeler walks in and says it doesn't matter what they wear, because she will win, although she says Hannah would probably look better in it. Lei'd Tapa walks in and Ray Ray is surprised she showed up after what she did to Trina last week. Tapa shoves her head into the wall and says she will see her in her ring tonight. Ray Ray, playing the role of the dumb blonde, is happy that she gets to wrestle.

Lei'd Tapa vs. Ray Ray.
Tapa hits a big boot to the face of Ray Ray and stomps away on her before the bell ever rings.
Trina comes out to make the save, clotheslining Tapa over the top rope.
NO CONTEST.
Trina takes a mic and says that due to Tapa's attack last week, she hurt her knee and has to have surgery. She was told she might not be able to wrestle again, but plans on coming back stronger and faster. Unfortunately, she has to relinquish the Women's Title. She tells Tapa that this isn't over.

The Nightmare Cup finalists are brought out for a drawing to decide who will face who.
The Marauders' Joe Coleman & Shiloh Jonze
The Best Team Ever: Rudy Switchblade & Jessie Godderz
Rob Terry & Marcus Anthony
Michael Hayes & Mohamad Ali Vaez
The teams argue and end up brawling. Chris Sharpe was sent out by Danny Davis and they will now have a fatal 4 way. The winning team picks their opponents, and the remaining 2 teams will face off.
"The Marauders" Joe Coleman & Shiloh Jonze vs. "The Best Team Ever" Rudy Switchblade & "Mr. Pec-Tacular" Jessie Godderz vs. "The Welsh Colossus" Rob Terry & "Strongest Gamer Alive" Marcus Anthony vs. Mohamad Ali Vaez & Michael Hayes
A lot of back and forth action, but the finsih comes with a massive double powerslam by Rob & Marcus to Shiloh for the 3.
WINNERS: ROB & MARCUS by pinfall.
After the match, Marcus grabs a mic and says they want Hayes & Ali!

This ended the TV taping.

Post-Show Dark Matches:

Nikki St. John vs. Hannah Blossom (w/Holly Blossom).
Nikki & Hannah shove each other, and Nikki slaps Hannah. Hannah charges at Nikki, but Nikki sidesteps her and Hannah runs into the turnbuckle. Nikki grabs Hannah, but Hannah slaps Nikki in the face, knocking her glasses off. She then connects with the Blossom Kick for 3.
WINNER: HANNAH by pinfall.

4M: "Mister Marvelous" Melvin Maximus & The Bodyguy vs. "Lambda Lambda Lambda" Stephon J. Baxter III & Albert Einstein Baxter II.
The Bodyguy attacks Albert. Bodyguy & 4M work him over and 4M locks him in a bearhug. Bodyguy clubs Albert, but misses a forearm drop. He tries to tag Stephon, but Bodyguy cuts him off. He knocks Stephon to the floor and hits a backbreaker for the 3.
WINNERS: BODYGUY & 4M by pinfall.
After the match, Bodyguy says he was finally able to show off his goregousness and gorgeousity, because the man in the mask had an important phone call. He asks 4M to go get his baby oil from the back to show off his body even more. The Assassin's music hits and he hangs up his phone.
He delivers a clothesline, and then as Bodyguy tries to get back up, he gets back in and hits him with the heart punch. 4M comes back out and doesn't know what happened.

Don't forget to tune in every Thursday for new episodes of Triple Threat Talk. They are linked to the right side of the site, and I am their special OVW correspondent! I will be sending them videos every week recapping the previous week of OVW action.

  1. Hey Brian. Thanks for the posting. Is Trinna leaving a surprise? What is your observation?

    1. Somewhat. I thought we would see Trina defend against Tapa at SNS. I think there is a reason she is dropping the title for now, and I believe she will return.

    2. Her departure was like her arrival! All of a sudden and out of no where. Unfortunately, I do believe many of the virtual OVW fans wanted to see more of her vs. Tapa!
So will Bradley be the champion? Is this build up getting stale? You are there, so let us know!
