OVWmania Presents: OVW Top 20 (Ed. 23)

This is the OVW Top 20 for the week of October 9-15, 2012 exclusively on OVWmania. After last week's OVW Heavyweight Title battle plus all the other great action, who is on top of this week's Top 20?

#1) CRIMSON (Last Week: #1)

CURRENT TITLES: OVW Heavyweight Champion

LAST MATCH: Defeated Rob Terry.

*Crimson didn't do it alone, but he did defeat the Welsh Colossus and remains OVW Heavyweight Champion and #1 this week. He will now have to team up with his new "friends" to face Rob Terry, Johnny Spade, Sam Shaw, and a mystery partner this week.
#2) ALEX SILVA (Last Week: #3)

CURRENT TITLES: OVW Television Champion

LAST MATCH: Defeated Sam Shaw.

*The Television Champion proved he was the better GutCheck winner after defeating Sam Shaw at Derby Park. He also defeated a veteran opponent in Cliff Compton and continues to climb the ranks of OVW. Can he continue his success and make Crimson say "Uh-Oh" when Crimson looks in the rearview mirror?

#3) ROB TERRY (Last Week: #2)

LAST MATCH: Lost to Crimson.

*Big Rob failed to reclaim the top prize in OVW last week after interference from Crimson's new "friends" distracted him. The Welsh Colossus will really want to "pop the Weasel" when they meet up this week in a special 8-man tag.

#4) JASON WAYNE (Last Week: #4)

LAST MATCH: Defeated Espy at SNS.

*Wayne has declared war on Espy, and continues to disrespect him and lay him out from behind. Can Wayne win in a fair fight if the two should meet up again?
#5) THE BEST TEAM EVER: Rudy Switchblade & Jessie Godderz (Last Week: #6)

CURRENT TITLES: OVW Southern Tag Team Champions

LAST MATCH: Defeated Randy Royal & Tony Gunn.

*The Best Team Ever continue to succeed despite their trouble in figuring out when to tag in or what moves to perform. By pulling out the wins even with their issues, maybe they truly are the Best Team Ever after all.

#6) "SMOOTH" JOHNNY SPADE (Last Week: #7)

LAST MATCH: Defeated "Mr. VIP" Joe Rosa.

*Spade was named "Suckah of the Week" by Eddie Diamond & Timmy Danger, but he could really care less. Spade wants revenge against Doug Williams, Crimson, and the Wild Cards, but doesn't want any help in doing so. Will he put his trust issues aside to tag with Sam Shaw, Rob Terry, and a mystery partner this week?

#7) CHRIS SILVIO (Last Week: #5)

LAST MATCH: Defeated Cliff Compton in a steel cage at SNS.

*The leader of Team Tye-Dye was inactive this week following his huge win over Cliff Compton in a steel cage at SNS. Is he still suffering from the concussion and resting before coming back? When he does return, will he be 100%?

#8) HEIDI LOVELACE (Last Week: #9)

CURRENT TITLES: OVW Women's Champion

LAST MATCH: Defeated Taeler Hendrix & Lylah Lodge with Jessie Belle.

*Heidi returns to form by picking up a win in tag action. She still has the loss to Josette hanging over her, and has to wonder when she will have to defend her title against her.
#9) THE MOBILE HOMERS: Ted McNaler & Adam Revolver (Last Week: #10)

LAST MATCH: Defeated Raphael Constantine & Ace Hawkins.

*Ted & Adam decided to try and drink their troubles away after failing to capture tag team gold, and although they were very tipsy, they managed to pick up a tag team win to get them back on track. OVW's "brew crew" will now look to earn another shot at the titles.

#10) SAM SHAW (Last Week: #12)

LAST MATCH: Lost to Alex Silva at Derby Park.

*Shaw's first title opportunity didn't go as planned, but we're sure he will have plenty more. Plus he got a big win over BS 2.0's leg breaker last week and finds himself in the top 10 for the first time.

#11) DOUG WILLIAMS (Last Week: #11)

LAST MATCH: Defeated Ryan Howe.

*OVW fans are still shocked that Williams would align himself with the conniving Crimson, and wonder what "favor" he owed him. Although his wrestling may be "pure", his motives are not.

#12) MOOSE & MICHAEL HAYES (Last Week: #8)

LAST MATCH: Both were eliminated from a battle royal at SNS.

*Last week, Michael informed Moose that he may be out of action to get his knee worked on, and said he would inform everyone what was going on this week. If Michael is out for a period of time, this could be the last week for a while that Moose & Michael are paired together on the Top 20.

#13) THE WILD CARDS: Shiloh Jonze & "Mexican Dream" Raul LaMotta (Last Week: #14)

LAST MATCH: No-contest vs. Johnny Spade & Doug Williams at SNS.

*The Wild Cards had Crimson's back again, and helped him to retain the OVW Heavyweight Title against Rob Terry. These two "amigos" are finding strength in numbers by joining Crimson & Doug Williams.

#14) CLIFF COMPTON (Last Week: #13)

LAST MATCH: Lost to Alex Silva.

*Cliff tried to talk the talk, but couldn't back it up after losing to Alex Silva and failing to capture the only title he has never held in OVW, the Television Title. Is his quest to become triple crown champion over, or does he have more in store for Alex Silva?
#15) JOSETTE BYNUM (Last Week: #16)

LAST MATCH: Defeated Heidi Lovelace at SNS.

*Josette did a great job running errands for Trailer Park Trash last week, but when will she get her title match against Heidi Lovelace? Curious minds also want to know who she has been talking to on the phone. Who does she want help from to take out the "Trash"?

#16) ROCCO BELLAGIO (Last Week: #15)

LAST MATCH: Lost to Sam Shaw.

*The Leg Breaker wasn't too pleased with the miscue by his cohort Joe Coleman that cost him a win against Sam Shaw last week. Can BS 2.0 recover and get back on the right track this week?
#17) ESPY (Last Week: #17)

LAST MATCH: Lost to Jason Wayne at SNS.

*Espy's battle rages on as he looks to get some revenge against the disrespectful Jason Wayne who stole a win against him at SNS, and then attacked him from behind last week. Will the Mascara Mafia member be able to outshine the man who should be considered the leader of the "Wayne-bow" Coalition?

#18) EPIPHANY (Last Week: #18)

LAST MATCH: Lost to Heidi Lovelace.

*Epiphany still remains a "large" threat to Heidi's title, but will have to return to action first. Where has she been and when can we expect her to come back to try and dominate the Femme Fatale division?

#19) JOE COLEMAN (Last Week: #19)

LAST MATCH: Eliminated from a battle royal at SNS.

*It's a bird, it's a plane, it's another bad week for the Jacked Knight! Coleman unsuccessfully interfered in a match between Rocco Bellagio & Sam Shaw and it cost his BS 2.0 partner a victory. Holy cow, "Latman"!

#20) TAELER HENDRIX (Last Week: #20)

LAST MATCH: Lost to Jessie Belle & Heidi Lovelace with Lylah Lodge.

*Hanging on by the smallest thread of her fiery red hair, Taeler continues a brutal losing streak. If just one more OVW superstar had made an impact last week, she'd have fallen from the Top 20. What will she do to try and turn things around?

MISSING THE CUT:
-Jessie Belle
*Picked up a tag team win, but can she do-si-do her way into the Top 20?

-Elvis Pridemoore
*OVW's hillbilly rapper gets a win under his belt after defeating Jeremiah Plunkett last week.

-Dylan Bostic
*Dylan is obviously not afraid to get in your face and tell you what he thinks, but only wins will get you higher up the Top 20.

KEEP AN EYE ON:
*Randy Royal   *Tony Gunn   *Ryan Howe
*The Assassin   *Lylah Lodge   *Raphael Constantine

DISABLED/INACTIVE:
*Mohamad Ali Vaez     *Jamin Olivencia     *Randy Terrez
