OVWmania Presents: OVW Top 20 (Week 2)

This is the second week of the OVW Top 20 exclusively on OVWmania. Who's #1?

#1) ROB TERRY (Last Week: #1)

 CURRENT TITLES: OVW Heavyweight Champion

LAST MATCH: Defeated LMC

*Terry didn't get to celebrate winning the OVW Heavyweight Title long, as the party Josette had planned for him was crashed by Cliff Compton & former champion, Johnny Spade.

#2) JOHNNY SPADE (Last Week: #2)

LAST MATCH: Lost the OVW Heavyweight Title to Rob Terry

*Spade has a never say die attitude. This week he had some backup in the form of Cliff Compton to crash the Family's party.

#3) JESSIE GODDERZ (Last Week: #3)

CURRENT TITLES: OVW Southern Tag Team Champion

LAST MATCH: Defeated Raul LaMotta, Shiloh Jonze, Mike Mondo, & Paredyse with Rudy Switchblade, Adam Revolver, & Brandon Espinosa

*Godderz is part of the self-proclaimed "best team ever". Who will step up to try and take the tag titles away from him & Switchblade?

#4) RUDY SWITCHBLADE (Last Week: #4)

CURRENT TITLES: OVW Southern Tag Team Champion

LAST MATCH: Defeated Raul LaMotta, Shiloh Jonze, Mike Mondo, & Paredyse with Jessie Godderz, Adam Revolver, & Brandon Espinosa

*Switchblade is part of the self-proclaimed "best team ever". Who will step up to try and take the tag titles away from him & Godderz?

#5) MOHAMAD ALI VAEZ (Last Week: #5)

CURRENT TITLES: OVW Television Champion

LAST MATCH: Defended successfully against Sean Casey

*Ali could have a new challenger soon for his TV Title in an impressive Chito Martinez.
#6) CHITO MARTINEZ (Last Week: #6)

LAST MATCH: Defeated Arik Kristopher

*With all the similarities between Chito Martinez & Jamin Olivencia, we gave Chito Jamin's spot on the Top 20. We don't think Jamin will mind.

#7) JASON WAYNE (Last Week: #9)

LAST MATCH: Defeated Chris Silvio

*Wayne continues to climb the Top 20 after aligning with the Family and getting a victory over Silvio. What's next on his agenda?

#8) CLIFF COMPTON (Last Week: NR)

LAST MATCH: Defeated X2C with Mike Mondo

*Cliff Compton crashed the Family's party and the Top 20. Now that he's back full-time in OVW, does he have his sights set on the OVW Heavyweight Title?

#9) MICHAEL HAYES (Last Week: #7)

LAST MATCH: Defeated Bolin Services 2.0 in a handicap ladder match at Saturday Night Special

*Hayes was inactive this week, but found out that he & Moose will have to get Mickey ready to compete against the leader of BS 2.0, Chris Bolin.

 #10) MOOSE (Last Week: #8)

LAST MATCH: Defeated Bolin Services 2.0 in a handicap ladder match at Saturday Night Special

*Like Michael Hayes, was inactive this week, but will have to help train Mickey in his debut match against Chris Bolin.

#11) CHRIS SILVIO (Last Week: #10)

LAST MATCH: Lost to Jason Wayne

*Silvio got cheated out of a possible victory over Jason Wayne after interference from the Family. How will Silvio overcome the odds?

#12) RANDY ROYAL (Last Week: #12)

LAST MATCH: With Epiphany, defeated the teams of Taeler Hendrix & Dylan Bostic and Paredyse & Blair Alexis at Saturday Night Special

*Royal was inactive this week other than chasing off Dylan Bostic & Taeler Hendrix. Will he & Epiphany shut Taeler and her boy-toy up once and for all?

#13) SHILOH JONZE (Last Week: #11)

LAST MATCH: With Raul LaMotta, Paredyse, & Mike Mondo, lost to Brandon Espinosa, Jessie Godderz, Rudy Switchblade, & Adam Revolver

*Shiloh is on a little bit of a losing streak and needs to turn it around. Will he be able to get going against the Family?

#14) TAELER HENDRIX (Last Week: #15)

LAST MATCH: Defeated Heidi Douglas

*Hendrix stole another victory with help from Dylan Bostic. The question is, what happens if she has to defend the Women's title without assistance?

#15) EPIPHANY (Last Week: #13)

LAST MATCH: With Randy Royal, defeated the teams of Taeler Hendrix & Dylan Bostic and Paredyse & Blair Alexis at Saturday Night Special

*Epiphany was inactive this week other than chasing off Dylan Bostic & Taeler Hendrix. Will she get a Women's title shot one-on-one with Taeler?

#16) DYLAN BOSTIC (Last Week: #17)

LAST MATCH: With Taeler Hendrix, lost to the team of Randy Royal & Epiphany in a match at Saturday Night Special that also featured Paredyse & Blair Alexis

*Bostic continues to follow Taeler's lead and help her steal victories. Can he wrestle and win on his own?

#17) PAREDYSE (Last Week: #16)

LAST MATCH: With Raul LaMotta, Shiloh Jonze, & Mike Mondo, lost to Brandon Espinosa, Jessie Godderz, Rudy Switchblade, & Adam Revolver

*It appears that his ongoing battle with Brandon Espinosa is far from over. It'll be interesting to see what's next between these two, how Chris will come into play, and if Paredyse can rack up some victories along the way.

#18) TONY GUNN (Last Week: #19)

LAST MATCH: Defeated Raphael Constantine

*Gunn continues to 'squeeze' out victories by making opponents tap to the backbreaking bearhug.

#19) BRANDON ESPINOSA (Last Week: #20)

LAST MATCH: Defeated Raul LaMotta, Shiloh Jonze, Paredyse, & Mike Mondo, in a match with Jessie Godderz, Rudy Switchblade, & Adam Revolver

*Why is Espinosa so bitter? He continues to get angry at questions about his relationship with Chris, and Chris' gender. He did move up with a victory this week at least.

#20) TED McNALER (Last Week: #14)

LAST MATCH: Defeated Adam Revolver in a "Gentleman's Rules" match at Saturday Night Special

*McNaler finally got some revenge against Revolver, but spent last week playing Jenga with Brittany DeVore. Ted needs to be in the ring to move back up the Top 20.

NOTABLY MISSING:
-Bolin Services 2.0
*After failing to defeat Moose & Michael Hayes, BS 2.0 took last Wednesday off to regroup and talk about the future of their stable. For the next tv episode, they are banned from ringside as their leader, Chris Bolin, goes one-on-one with Mickey!

FACES TO WATCH:
*Raul LaMotta      *Elvis Pridemoore      *The Assassin
*The Baronis Brothers      *Adam Revolver

  1. Thanks for the postings. This time I actually concur with most of your ratings. I am assuming your scale is based on the previous week’s TV taping and not the two last house events. So I have a few recommendations….
Switch Mohamed Ali Vaez with Chico Martinez and via versa. Chico has the passion and is moving up. While Mohamed is a great wrestler, I agree with you about his victories being handed to him
Next Replace Randy Royal’s ranking with Taeler Hendrix. Taeler is still the reigning OVW Women’s Champion. She did wrestle last week against a new tough opponent. Yes, she got the cheated pin, but so do the rest of the members of “The Family.” I also have to respectfully disagree with your comment, “What happens if she has to defend the Women's title without assistance?” As the OVW commentators have said before, she has single handily beaten all of her OVW competition. And no one had her “back.” Statistically, her only pre Family losses at OVW were caused by outside interference or disqualification by her opponents. The exception would be her defeat against Sara Del Ray when ROH came to OVW. And that was a year before she officially signed onto OVW. But stranger outcomes have been written, so we will see tomorrow night.
Randy Royal should be ranked behind Epiphany. Why? Randy did not wrestle last week. He did his scripted obligatory dash out to the arena after Taeler’s match. It would have been more interesting if he and Epiphany ran out during Taeler’s match. This is just wrong! OVW really needs to recognize this man’s talent. The Dude is awesome. No more microphone time, no more running around the arena time…just time in the ring! He would make an excellent “Anti-Family” member and I know the OVW fans would love to see him against Vaez, rather than Bostic.
Can’t wait to see your result postings for tomorrow night! Can you also find out (if you are there) when the 5/12 SNS DVD goes on sale?
